Pond Stars

This is an exciting time to be a Pond Builder or Hobbyist!  Many landscape and gardening programs have highlighted the use of Water Gardens in various settings, but none have really been able to capture the true artistry and holistic effects of the "Water Garden Lifestyle".  Backyard Ponds or water gardens have always taken a back seat to some other "Cool" component on the show, like an outdoor grill or gazebo, and the rest of the time is usually dedicated to the "Back Story" about the reason for the renovation.


Well, that's not what I want to see. I want to see Ponds and Water Features in the forefront! Maybe I'm a little biased, but now it seems that NAT GEO WILD is finally giving me (and every other pond enthusiast) what I want: A show about PONDS!!

So Who Are The Pond Stars From Aquascape Inc. ?

The stars of the show happen to be some of my friends and mentors in the Pond Industry that I've gotten to personally know and become friends with over the last 10 years. Greg Wittstock,  Ed Beaulieu and Brian Helfrich from Aquascape Inc in St. Charles, Ill. 

 We have been fortunate enough work side by side and learn something from each one of these guys on some awesome water features in Disneys Epcot Center, The Shedd Aquarium, The Lincoln Park Zoo as well as many other places.  I can tell you first hand that these guys know PONDS!

 Another thing this show has going for it is the hundreds of Certified Aquascape Contractors (CAC's) that Greg, Ed and Brian have poured the time and passion for water features into to develop and teach everything they know about succeeding in the Water Feature Industry. CAC's are involved in every build on the show, and that's important, because these guys are traveling the country and need experienced craftsman they can rely on to make sure they can get these awesome transformations completed in time and done right! Our network of CAC's is also going to be a huge part of the promotion of the show through marketing efforts, blogs (like this one :) and social media. Pondtastic Water Gardens from Orlando, FL has been aware of this show for over a year now, and we are just now permitted to share the information about The Pond Stars. The excitement for our friends and our industry is finally reaching a boiling point. Set your DVR's for Tuesday, September 9th at 10 PM on NAT GEO WILD!
